Clients Review

“We can’t recommend Jules highly enough! He crafted a beautiful front and back garden in a 2-week time-frame. Jules is a consummate professional, highly organized and efficient whilst also being creative and passionate about his projects. His team left the worksite clean every day, and at the end of each day briefed us on the next steps of the project. He managed all aspects of the build for us, including going out of his way to ensure all foundations, i.e. plumbing etc, were solid before proceeding. We are extremely grateful for this. He delivers on time and on budget, is an excellent communicator and nice to have around. Jules’s work means our quality of life now is much better in these unusual times. What more can you ask for?”

Crows Nest – Elegant Terrace Garden Transformation

Tree of Life Landscapes was tasked with transforming this compact terrace garden in Crows Nest into a sophisticated, low-maintenance outdoor retreat. The project creatively maximized the limited space while focusing on aesthetics, functionality, and plant health. The property features a combination of bluestone paving, porcelain tiles, feature trees, a planter box in separate courtyard, all complemented by appropriate plantings and efficient automatic irrigation system.

Scope of Work:

The design process began with an in-depth consultation with Kate and Ivan to fully understand their vision for the space. The design aimed to maximize the garden’s potential while maintaining a balanced and cohesive look, fitting for a small terrace, without the cost of architectural drawings.

Bluestone paving was installed as the foundation of the garden, chosen for its durability and timeless beauty. Porcelain tiles were incorporated in the rear yard for an extra touch of luxury, offering an elegant contrast to the natural stone.

Strategically placed feature trees were added to create focal points and add height, chosen for their ability to thrive in the local climate and for their aesthetic qualities helping to visually expand the space. These plants add texture, colour, and seasonal interest to the garden, complementing the overall design.

A tailored automatic irrigation system was installed to ensure the garden remains lush and healthy with minimal maintenance. The system was carefully designed to deliver optimal water to the plants, promoting healthy growth while saving time and effort for Kate and Ivan.

Finally, decorative pebbles were added to complete the design and enhance the garden’s inviting atmosphere. A thorough clean-up was performed, leaving the garden ready for immediate use.

Outcome:

The transformation of the Crows Nest terrace garden has provided Kate and Ivan with a stunning outdoor retreat. The combination of high-quality materials, thoughtful design, and a well-executed irrigation system ensures the garden remains beautiful and easy to care for. This project has maximized the potential of the small space, creating a tranquil, aesthetic oasis that Kate and Ivan can enjoy for years to come.
