Heritage Makeover Mosman
Project Overview
This complete property makeover in Mosman for Peter & Jacqui involved a comprehensive transformation, most of which was completed on a do and charge basis with complete trust from Peter and Jacqui. We blended classic charm with modern upgrades.
The project began with excavation and the removal of all unwanted materials, including the existing driveway, to make way for new features that enhanced the property’s overall appeal. The transformation included the installation of new limestone stepping stones, perfectly complementing the existing landscape, and the application of limestone wall cladding to the existing brick retaining wall, bringing a heritage-inspired look that seamlessly integrated with the property’s aesthetic.
The front of the property received a significant upgrade with the addition of a new rolling picket fence and automatic driveway gates, both painted black for a timeless and elegant finish. A beautiful red post box was also added a great choice by Jacqui, contributing to the traditional charm of the space.
In maintaining the home’s English cottage style, the existing Buxus hedging was carefully preserved, while additional planting of Murraya, Clivea, Gardenia’s and ground covers were incorporated to enhance the lush, green atmosphere. To ensure the garden flourishes with ease, an automatic drip irrigation system was installed for efficient watering.
A new sealed full-colour concrete driveway was created to provide a sleek and durable surface, complemented by decorative pebbles that added texture and visual interest to the space.
To complete the rear of the property, new soil and turf were laid, creating a fresh, vibrant lawn perfect for relaxing, entertaining also creating great curb appeal. Additionally, tiling was added to the rear alfresco staircase, enhancing the overall design and providing a polished, functional transition between spaces.
This makeover brought together a combination of heritage elements, modern functionality, and a cohesive design that created a stunning and inviting outdoor environment for Peter & Jacqui.
